With over 35 years of experience, Mark is a highly experienced design practitioner who strives to complete work of the highest caliber.
Mark’s career began with four years on the New Parliament House in Canberra, Australia for Mitchell Giurgola & Thorp. Subsequent to NPH, he has completed a substantial number of corporate fit-outs for large organisations for various corporate design practices.
He originally established his practice - MARK MARIN DESIGN in Sydney in 1990 as a boutique studio working principally across Workplace, Residential, Hospitality and Retail sectors. However, additionally more diverse breadth of work includes Landscape, Furniture design, Glass and Graphic design. As a highly experienced designer, Mark has a demonstrated capacity for creative design over a wide project base.
Mark is also conversant with leading edge workplace strategies - having been involved on a number of early ‘workplace re-engineering’ projects dating back to the 90's including the proto-typical Lend Lease Interiors project in Sydney.
He has also been involved as a lecturer in Design at the University of Technology Sydney as well as a guest judge in Australian Design awards.
Mark has also consulted and worked for other larger corporate practices over the years - completing many diverse projects and has been a Design Director for both Woods Bagot and Grimshaw Architects in Sydney, Dubai and London.
Mark was based in Dubai, U.A.E. from late 2007 - 2017 and subsequently in London. Mark returned to Australia in 2018 and has re-established the practice in Sydney, 2020.
